London’s ‘largest penthouse’ that comes complete with dog-walking and grocery stocking services could be yours for £40million

London‘s ‘largest penthouse’ that comes complete with dog-walking and grocery stocking services is now up for grabs for a sum of £40million.

The glamorous apartment was just one out of a selection of top-floor apartments that launched this week at The Whitely – a £1.2billion redevelopment of the iconic Whiteley department store in Queensway.

The five-bedroom Whiteley Penthouse, designed by architecture studio Foster + Partners features an impressive curved glass wall that provides jaw-dropping 360-degree views over the capital.

At a massive 4,462sq ft, it is even grander than the previous largest penthouse record-holder, Townhouse at The Bryanston by Hyde Park, which is 4,177sq ft.

It also offers a pool, spa, wellness treatment facility, and Padel court as the complex is attached to the Six Senses hotel.

And if this wasn’t enough, dog-walking, childcare, an on-call sommelier, limousine rental services and even grocery stocking will all be readily available for future residents.

The lucky individual who manages to scoop the beautiful London home will have access to a library, club room, music room, and children’s playroom, along with a half basketball court, and a volleyball and badminton court.

Once it is completed at the end of the year, the apartment block will include 139 homes including studio flats and five-bedroom apartments.

Prices of the luxury homes are set to start from £1,515,000 with 14 of the flats fully serviced by the 109-room Six Senses hotel.

At £40million, The Whiteley Penthouse could also set records as one of London’s most expensive property sales.

On The Whiteley’s website, it states: ‘At the core of its presence at The Whitley will be Six Senses Place, a new kind of social club where wellness, community and celebration meet, and sustainability is central to its design and operations.

‘The club adopts the Six Senses belief that wellness is anything and everything that results in mental, physical, spiritual and emotional happiness.

‘t’s about finding the perfect balance, while broadening your horizons’.

The Whiteley was opened in 1911 as one of London’s first department stores alongside Harrods and Selfridges.

When the Lord Mayor of London opened the new store on 2 November 1911 in the presence of thousands, it was claimed to be ‘the largest shop in the world’, ‘the most beautiful store in the United Kingdom’, and ‘perfect in every detail of Architecture, Equipment, and Service’.

Whiteleys closed in December 2018 to begin its redevelopment, in parallel with Meyer Bergman’s regeneration of Queensway Parade, which faces the Whiteleys building.
