Viral Liam Gallagher clip dubbed ‘still the greatest Liam video ever’ resurfaces as fans celebrate Oasis reunion

A viral clip of Liam Gallagher moaning about making his own tea has resurfaced with fans dubbing it ‘still the greatest Liam video ever’.

The rocker, 51, alongside brother Noel, 57, sent Oasis fans into a frenzy this week as they finally announced their long-awaited reunion – 15 years after last performing together.

With mass hysteria over the Britpop legends’ planned £50million reunion tour around the UK and Ireland sweeping the nation, a number of old videos of the brothers have since come to light.

One particular clip, from a BBC Backstage pass documentary back in September 2017, has fans tickled, with the video seeing the Live Forever hitmaker bemoan having no one to make him a beverage as ‘money is tight’ – noting that he had more cash in the 90s.

He also kicks up a stink about people not buying records before angrily explaining why ‘real rock stars’ are a dying breed.

The singer, 51, tells the camera that the reason there are no more rock stars is because they have to run their own errands as he angrily makes a cup of tea in a backstage tent.

He says: ‘Now in the 90s I got someone else to f*****g do it but now I can’t, f*****g money is tight – too tight to mention.

‘Got to do it yourself ‘aren’t you’.

As he continues to stir his cup of tea he elaborated and said that now people download music rather than buy albums the music industry has changed.

He continued: ‘No one buys records these days. In the 90s I had about four people do it. A little geezer’s going the kettle, our kid.

‘Some other little c**t going that, and some other little f*****g idiot doing that.’

‘Now you gotta do your f*****g, now you gotta do it yourself these days, you know what I mean?’

‘Because these f*****g smart a**es download f*****g tunes for nish.’

Another took to X to comment underneath the video: ‘this never fails to make me laugh…’.

A third wrote: ‘Loving all these Liam videos. Just him being himself and honest. Cracks me up.’

While another fan commented: ‘The most British rock and roll video ever made.’

The feuding brothers appear to have put their differences aside and reportedly struck a secret deal after a promise of a £50million payday for a number of concerts next summer.

Noel called a reunion ‘ludicrous’ in 2021 saying he would reform Oasis only if he was offered £100million.

But after his £20million divorce from Sara MacDonald last year, the elder Gallagher is said to have been persuaded of the financial merits of getting the band together for dates at Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium.

Liam dropped a hint of a reunion earlier today to add fuel to the rumours by writing on X: ‘I never did like that word FORMER.’

A music insider said Liam and Noel had secretly been back in touch and both had agreed to the reunion, ‘much to the surprise of people around them’.

But Liam has slammed claims Oasis are reuniting just because they’re ‘skint’, taking to social media to tell critics, ‘Your attitude stinks.’

A source told MailOnline previously: ‘Noel would only ever consider sharing the stage with Liam again if the money was astronomical and that’s what convinced him.

‘They haven’t buried the hatchet and Noel will always have huge reservations about being in a band with Liam as he’s so unpredictable – both on and off stage.

‘Certain conditions will have to be put in place in regards to safeguarding Noel’s presence in this comeback because he really can’t handle Liam’s form for being a liability.

‘But the sums of money being offered will obviously help through any potential ordeals. It’s life changing cash – even for somebody already very rich.’

Liam teased the announcement at Reading Festival on Sunday.

A short clip of a sign in the style of Oasis logo was projected on a large screen above the stage and subsequently shared to Oasis, Noel and Liam’s official Instagram and X accounts.

The white rectangular box with a black block in the centre had the date ‘27.08.24” written in the middle where the band’s name is usually seen. It then flickered and changed to read ‘8am”.

And on Monday morning, the iconic Britpop band ended all speculation by confirming a string of gigs – which will not be televised – in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin for next summer.

The 14-show tour will run from July 4 to August 17, kicking off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before the brothers pack out Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin.

Despite speculation that Oasis will be on the bill at Glastonbury 2025, it’s understood the band will not be performing at Worthy Farm. However, plans are underway for Oasis to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year.

Announcing the Oasis Live 25 tour alongside the brothers’ first picture together in years, the legendary band said: ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.’

The Oasis website crashed immediately after the announcement as fans were sent into a frenzy. The reunion comes a day before the date the band split on August 28 2009.

Following the news of the reunion, a music expert has since claimed that demand for tickets for the shows will ‘absolutely dwarf’ that seen for Taylor Swift.

After weeks of growing speculation about a comeback, the Manchester brothers have finally put their 15-year feud to one side to announce they will be performing together again 34 years after their first gig.

Music journalist and DJ Kevin McManus believes demand for Oasis tickets will be huge and could even surpass the fight for tickets to Taylor’s Eras tour.

Speaking to ITV News, Kevin said: ‘I think people forget but the two Knebworth shows they did almost 4% of the population tried to get tickets.
