Another T20 World Cup match at the Nassau Stadium, another low-scoring affair that saw Pakistan edge out Canada. However, which players stood out in this stellar PAK-CAN clash?
PAK Player Ratings vs CAN: And the Babar Azam and Co. are finally off the mark! The Men in Green defeated Canada and are now third on the points table. However, Pakistan were far from convincing. It was their bowlers that served the win on the platter before Mohammad Rizwan’s calculated innings took them over the finishing line.
PAK Player Rating vs CAN: Who scored 10/10?
Mohammad Rizwan (9/10): Well, despite facing a lot of flak after his horror show against India, Mohammad Rizwan continued to play at his own pace. It was important for him not to lose his wicket, which he didn’t. Rizwan hit a superb fifty this time, taking Pakistan over the line. His strike rate, however, was 100.00.
Saim Ayub (1/10): Was slotted into the Playing XI in place of Iftikhar Ahmed, Saim Ayub failed to get going. The talented southpaw edged one to the keeper and was dismissed 6 off 12.
Babar Azam (8/10): Came back to his number three position after Ayub opened the innings. The Pakistan skipper made a decent run-a-ball 33 but would’ve liked to stay unbeaten till the end.
Fakhar Zaman (4/10): Had to come quite late in the innings. He tried to show intent but couldn’t, going out for just 4 runs. However, the southpaw plucked two good catches on the field.
Usman Khan (5/10): Not much to say for Usman Khan. He could’ve been dropped in place of Ayub but Pakistan wanted his explosiveness in the middle-order. The 29-year-old
Shadab Khan (5/10): Similar was the case with Shadab Khan. The star all-rounder wasn’t used by Babar Azam at any point of the game. He didn’t bowl against India and didn’t roll his arm over against Canada.
Imad Wasim (8.5/10): Despite all the off-field controversies, Imad Wasim did his job wonderfully well. He stuck to his plans, bowled tight lines and gave away just 19 runs in his four overs at an economy rate of 4.80. Wasim affected a superb run-out as well.

Shaheen Afridi (8/10): Started the innings with two loose deliveries that ended up in boundaries, Shaheen Afridi was expected to do well. However, he couldn’t take more than one wicket.
Naseem Shah (8/10): Naseem Shah was also spectacular, taking the all-important wicket of Aaron Johnson. He is a tailor-made bowler for these conditions and was on mark yet again.
Haris Rauf (8.5/10): After getting bashed against the USA, Haris Rauf has hit his straps. He was on his radar against India and took 2/26 tonight. He hurried the Canadian batters with his pace and extracted bounce off the deck.
Mohammad Amir (9.5/10): Mohammad Amir’s comeback has been heartening to see! The experienced campaigner was phenomenal against India and did everything right on Tuesday. The Player of the Match award winner, with 2/13, Amir bowled according to the situation and always hunted to attack. Â
