76th Primetime Emmy Awards WINNERS: The Bear cooks up early honors for Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Liza Colón-Zayas

The Bear earned early honors for stars Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Liza Colón-Zayas at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The 33-year-old Brooklyn native Jeremy took home major honor in the Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series category for the second consecutive year.

He triumphed over Larry David, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Steve Martin, Only Murders in the Building, Martin Short, Only Murders in the Building, Matt Berry, What We Do in the Shadows, and D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Reservation Dogs.

During his acceptance speech Jeremy said: ‘Thank you so much. My heart is just beating right out of its chest. Thank you, thank you to the academy, my fellow nominees. I’m so honored to be in your company. Chris and Joe, thank you for choosing me. I am so, so, so lucky. I’m so grateful. Thank you.

‘My beautiful cast, I love you forever. I love to work with you, and I just — I want us to be in each other’s lives forever. I love you so dearly. Joe, this show has changed my life. It has instilled a faith that change is — is — is possible, that change is possible if you are able to reach out. You’re really, truly never actually alone.’

The hunk concluded his speech by recognizing his family including his two children.

He finished his speech by saying: ‘I thank this show. My parents, I love you. My sister, thank you for coming with me tonight. Ezra and Dolores, I love you so, so, so, so much. You are my heart. Thank you. Thank you, everybody.’

Jeremy portrays Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto as a young chef from the fine dining world returns to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop only to turn it into a fine dining restaurant on a quest for a Michelin star.

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old New York native Ebon – who portrays Richie Jerimovich on the FX series –  earned the win in the Outstanding Supporting Actor An A Comedy Series category for the second year much like Jeremy.

He beat out an impressive field including castmate Lionel Boyce in addition to Paul W. Downs, Hacks, Paul Rudd, Only Murders In The Building, Tyler James Williams, Abbott Elementary, and Bowen Yang, Saturday Night Live.

He kept his speech short and sweet as he said: ‘Okay. Wow. Thank you so much. I don’t know what to say. I’m so grateful for this show and to work with these beautiful people. Chris, thank you so much. I love you so much. Joanne that, Josh, Tyson. I work with this incredible family every day. It is such a privilege.

‘Lionel, liza, Mattie, all my little forks crew, Andrew and Sara and Olivia. Thank you, Jeanie for putting such a nice family together. Thank you to my parents. They’re taking such nice care of my cat. And thanks to my sweet daughters. Elena, I love you so much. You’re everything to me. Thank you.’

Ebon’s character Richard ‘Richie’ Jermovich is the de facto manager of the restaurants in The Bear who has a contentious relationship with Carmy due to his relationship with the chef’s late older brother Michael.

The 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards honored he best of television at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, September 15.

The ceremony will be hosted by Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, who are making history as the first father-son duo to emcee the program.

In 2020, the actors took home their own respective Emmy Awards for their work on their hit series, Schitt’s Creek, which they created and starred in for six seasons.

‘For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough,’ they said in a statement to Vanity Fair, last month, while confirming their hosting gig.

The pair continued: ‘We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all.’

The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Jennifer Aniston, Selena Gomez, Jon Hamm and Quinta Brunson are among the nominees that are vying for some the evening’s top prizes.
