Calls Mount to Ban Ye From X by ‘Friends’ Star as the Rapper Unleashes Terrific Antisemitic Outrage Online

Ye, formerly Kanye West, is a masterclass in musical genius with lessons aplenty. But when it comes to the man himself, there is just as much to unlearn. When he was distanced from Hollywood’s spotlight, the Atlanta-born rapper kept the momentum rolling like a beat that never drops. And just when he skyrocketed back into the billionaire club, doubling down on his Yeezy or nothing philosophy, he once again let his words run wild with his alarming antisemitic rhetoric. Last time, outrage knocked at his door, Ye retreated to the shadows, but this time? He is standing his ground, unbothered.

As the backlash swells, a certain Friends actor has stepped in, rallying for Ye’s suspension from X after his latest spiral.

Ye has been spreading his wings in full social flight lately. But instead of leaving hearts aflutter, his posts feel more like the moth dive—chaotic, relentless, and not exactly enchanting. As a result, Hollywood is abuzz, but not in the best of ways, as David Schwimmer, who played Ross in Friends, recently took a stand against the ‘Vultures’ mastermind. Following a flurry of antisemitic tweets by Ye, Schwimmer took to Instagram on Saturday, urging Elon Musk to have him removed from the platform.

Realizing they had no reins strong enough to halt him, he turned to Musk with a plea, stressing that if he could not silence the storm, at least not hand it a louder thunderclap. “Kanye West has 32.7 million followers,” Schwimmer pointed out, a number that allegedly looms twice as large as the entire Jewish population. The sheer weight of that comparison was not lost on him as Schwimmer underscored that hate speech does not only echo in the digital void but spills into the streets, where real people face real violence.

David Schwimmer, however, did not stop at that. He went on to call Ye names, emphasizing his frustration with the entire ordeal.

David Schwimmer takes a massive swipe at Ye over X suspension

David Schwimmer has used his social platform before to stand against antisemitism. In his latest Instagram post urging Elon Musk to issue a ban on Ye on X, the Jewish actor also posed a question, asking “What’s worse,” the fact that the rapper publicly identifies and allies with a fascist designation or the lack of “sufficient OUTRAGE” to suspend him from all social media platforms at this point. He even dubbed Ye a “deranged bigot” filled with hate.

Schwimmer included some of the rapper’s recent posts, highlighting the unforgiving tirade. High-profile stars like Meghan McCain and Piers Morgan joined the Friends actor in calling out Ye, questioning the reason behind his still unimpacted presence on social radars. Although it is unknown whether this Hollywood camp against Ye will get what they want, Ye better gear up because, clearly, the A-listers are not pulling any punches this time.
