The main lead of Quadruple boasts of Hollywood heavyweights like Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie. Mirren will be playing ex-spy Elizabeth, while Kingsley will play ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim. Brosnan will be seen as ex-union activist Ron, and Imrie as the ex-nurse Joyce.

Other than these four veteran stars, the supporting cast includes other famous names from showbiz, including Ingrid Oliver, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, Paul Freeman, and a few others.

The film follows a group of friends played by the lead stars in a retirement home who gather to solve murders for fun but find themselves caught in a real case.

The Thursday Murder Club is based on the 2020 murder mystery novel, the debut novel by British television presenter Richard Osman. As the name suggests, the retirement home residents, who are made up of different professionals with various skills, find it hard to spend their time in the home. And as destiny wills, this set of seniors uncovers a murder case, which brings so much excitement that they are willing to risk their lives to solve it. The movie is directed by Chris Columbus, who gave the world the first installment of the magical series with his direction of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Columbus had some high praise for the starry cast, as in his words, it is the finest cast he has ever worked with since Harry Potter. They have great acting muscles, which the director is confident will reflect in the movie. He has aimed to bring out a balance of humor, intrigue, and heart, and promises the audience a wonderful mystery at its core.
