Comic Book Expert Coy Jandreau Breaks The Internet with His ‘X-Men’ Plans, And Marvel Should Follow It To The Dot

In the vast universe of comic books, few names generate as much excitement as Coy Jandreau. Known for his uncanny ability to dissect storylines and predict fan-favorite arcs, he has long been a trusted voice among superhero enthusiasts. From intricate character developments to mind-blowing crossover theories, Jandreau’s insights often read like a roadmap for the future of the genre. Recently, he unveiled a set of X-Men plans so bold, in the same vein of ideas, that they broke the internet, leaving fans eager for Marvel to follow them to the dot.

Coy Jandreau’s X-Men blueprint has the worldwide web in a chokehold, teasing bold directions that could transform Marvel’s mutant saga forever if the studio gives them any consideration.

Coy Jandreau recently appeared on The Escape Pod Podcast, teasing X-Men ideas that got fans buzzing. Among the notions he shared, a Wolverine series exploring the mutant through different decades and a Storm solo movie, which topped his suggestions. Jandreau further proposed giving Cyclops a proper leadership arc, introducing Nightcrawler with a circus storyline, and adding Chamber as a visually striking mutant alternative to Wolverine.

Jandreau’s lineup makes sense because it taps into both nostalgia and untapped potential. A Wolverine-through-the-decades series would showcase the character’s longevity while grounding him in real historical moments. Storm has long deserved a solo spotlight, and her cultural significance could elevate the MCU in ways few others can. Cyclops leading with depth fixes years of underuse, while Nightcrawler’s circus origins add texture and heart. However, while these ideas sound enticing, the ball remains in Kevin Feige’s court, who recently teased an in-the-works X-Men script.

Kevin Feige says a new X-Men script is underway with Thunderbolts director at the helm.

Kevin Feige confirms new X-Men movie, Coy Jandreau’s ideas remain fan wishlist

The major update by Kevin Feige came during a roundtable promoting The Fantastic Four: First Steps about a month ago. Slated to arrive after the Multiverse Saga wraps in 2027, the new X-Men movie officially has Jake Schreier at the helm. Feige praised Schreier as “an incredibly smart guy” and a “talented filmmaker,” recalling their successful collaboration on the aforementioned film. With the script officially underway, Marvel is set to present a fresh take on the mutants, promising a project that blends an exciting storyline with dynamic character interactions.

Kevin Feige further emphasized that X-Men, as it was in the comics, will be a very “youth-oriented, focused, and cast movie.” With all these plans, Coy Jandreau’s wild takes on the comic characters will, at least for now, have to stay off the screen. Who knows, though, if Marvel stans pester Marvel, which recently revived a forgotten but fan-favorite movie, hard enough, the video detailing his ideas might reach the studio, potentially inspiring them to adopt one of the two storylines he suggested.
