Viwoods Aipaper E Ink Tablet Series Now on Kickstarter

Viwoods Aipaper E Ink Tablet Series Now on Kickstarter

The Viwoods Aipaper E Ink Tablet has made its Kickstarter debut and has already been a runaway hit as well. It has garnered $75,240 within just a day and found 153 backers. With still 42 days to go, the funding it has secured is already several times more than the $4,996 that the makers had set out to achieve.

The Aipaper from Viwoods actually is a series of e-notes comprising two tablet devices – the Aipaper with a 10.65-inch display and the Aipaper Mini that comes with an 8.2-inch e-paper display. The company said the two tablets have been in the making for two years now during which time they managed to reach the best possible hardware and software configuration that also boasts advanced AI capabilities. The goal has been to offer a device that lets users indulge in their creative passive with zero distractions, something that is taken to the next level with the integration of cutting-edge AI features.

Among the features the Aipaper series boasts of include analyzing content, creating summaries of it, organizing notes, providing answers to the questions posed to it, and handwriting and voice input support, to name a few. The makers are already calling it the smartest E Ink device currently available.

Coming to its specs, the E Ink display offers a 300 PPI resolution which translates to crisp and sharp visuals while still being soothing to the eyes. There is none of the glare or sleep-inhibiting blue light radiations usually associated with LCD or LED displays. The accompanying stylus will let you write or draw as you might need. It offers a very natural writing experience that closely mimics that of a real pen on paper. You will have two types of tips in the package, a smooth tip for higher-quality writing and another that is supposed to last long.

The makers said privacy and security have been prioritized right from the start. It is for this reason that Aipaper does not use cloud services. Rather, the 128 GB of storage onboard should be enough for most tasks. You can also sync your files to the AiPaper account on my.viwoods.com via the file management app ViTransfer that the e-note device comes pre-loaded with. However, files get stored at my.viwoods.com for only 24 hours to protect user privacy. Additionally, each document can be assigned a passcode for enhanced protection.

The Aipaper Mini offers the same features as its bigger counterpart. The only thing that sets it apart from the Aipaper is its size. With an 8.2-inch display, the Aipaper Mini is more compact and portable and is hence, easy to carry and handle. Buyers can choose from two display size options and pick the model that suits them best.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I’ll likely make a film sometime in the future.
