Arsenal are set to take on Slavia Prague in the Champions League as the Gunners look to maintain their winning start after picking up three consecutive victories in the competition
Arsenal will hope to continue their dream start to the season as the Gunners prepare to face Slavia Prague. Mikel Arteta’s side have won their first three Champions League matches, bringing their Premier League form to the European competition.
Arsenal were hugely impressive in their last Champions League outing. Goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and a Viktor Gyokeres brace gave Arsenal a 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium last month.
Ahead of the next round of fixtures, the Gunners currently sit fourth in the overall Champions League table and are one of five teams to have picked up nine points. Arsenal’s previous wins came away at Athletic Club and at home to Olympiacos.
Arteta’s side will be heavily expected to maintain their perfect Champions League start against Slavia Prague. The Czech club have drawn with Bodo/Glimt and Atalanta as well as suffering a 3-0 loss to Inter Milan so far in the competition.
Arsenal have emerged as the leading contender to end their Premier League title drought. However, their strong start in Europe has led to a growing feeling that the Gunners could also possibly win the Champions League for the first time in their history.

What is the Slavia Prague vs Arsenal team news?
Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres will not be available to face Slavia Prague. The striker picked up a muscle injury against Burnley at the weekend, shortly after opening the scoring, and was substituted at half-time.
“No, he’s not available,” Mikel Arteta said in his pre-match press conference. “He hasn’t trained today and we need to do some more tests and scans to understand the extent of the injury. I am concerned, because he hasn’t had many muscular issues and he had to leave the pitch [on Saturday].”
Martin Zubimendi will also not play against Slavia Prague, as he is suspended after receiving two yellow cards. Gabriel Martinell may be another absentee after missing the club’s 2-0 win over Burnley at the weekend.
Martin Odegaard is continuing to recover from a knee injury. Meanwhile, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz are making progress but are still out with their respective knee injuries. Striker Gabriel Jesus has been out of action since rupturing his ACL in January.
