Kate Middleton, who is the Princess of Wales, is said to want feuding brothers Prince William and Prince Harry to reunite as she has “nothing but peace and love in her heart”
The Princess of Wales is prepared to approach Meghan Markle herself to help Prince William and Prince Harry finally bury the hatchet, it is said.
Princess Kate, 44, is determined to open dialogue with the Duchess of Sussex — even if Prince William does not favour her approach. The fallout between Harry and William has played out publically in recent years, and accelerated when the Duke of Sussex made bombshell revelations in his memoir Spare in 2023.
But it is believed the Princess of Wales, who married William in 2011, is ready to play peacemaker, reportedly even willing to reach out directly to Meghan with her designs. A source said: “Kate has nothing but peace and love in her heart moving into 2026. She’s willing to open up dialogue with Meghan after years of giving her the silent treatment, even if Prince William thinks it’s a terrible idea.
“She’s painfully aware there’s no path to Harry without getting Meghan’s blessing. That’s why she’s working with her staff to figure out a viable approach to Meghan.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected back in the UK this summer for the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, which may present an opportunity for Harry and William to reunite. However, recent indications have hinted William, 43, is reticent to end the rift.
When 41-year-old Harry came to the UK last month to fight his latest legal case, his older brother was hundreds of miles away on official royal business with Kate in Scotland, followed by Bristol, where he undertook engagements connected to sustainability projects and future technologies. Experts believe the trips may have been carefully orchestrated to avoid the brothers being in the same city at the same time.
But, like Kate, King Charles is thought to want his sons to make up. According to Radar Online, the monarch is said to have offered Highgrove House for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay at when they return to the UK for the 2027 Invictus Games countdown event.
Duncan Larcombe, a royal expert, said: “It seems to be more than just a coincidence that William had taken himself out of the country, ensuring he was nowhere near Windsor, or where Harry might be. It wasn’t the first time he was out of town when Harry had a court hearing.”
The Duke of Sussex was on his home soil last month to deliver his 23-page witness statement as part of his evidence against Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) at London’s High Court. The prince is one of seven high-profile people accusing the company of “grave breaches of privacy” over a 20-year period. ANL denies any wrongdoing.
