Although many stars have dipped their toes in Marvel’s territory, Netflix star Julia Garner’s step-in for the highly anticipated project had fans on the edge of their seats about how it would turn out. 

Fans may get their answers in the months to come, but Garner recently spoke up about her experience, venturing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

In a recent conversation with ComicBook, Ozark actor Julia Garner shared her experience about playing Silver Surfer in the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The Marvel Cinematic Universe was never a confined territory, and if anything, it often shows just how larger than life it truly is. And entering the multiverse of mayhem, all Garner has in her heart is gratitude. “It’s a big universe, and I feel so grateful I get to be a little part of it,” the actor said.

Calling the casting downright “phenomenal,” Garner gave Matt Shakman his due credits while expressing her enthusiasm for the project to hit the big screens. The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor was officially confirmed for the role of Silver Surfer in April last year, after reports she was playing Shalla-Bal, a version of the Marvel character. Garner joined the cast alongside Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, and Ralph Ineson.

While the anticipation heightens for the film with each passing day, some new artwork on merchandise teased the perfect tagline.

The first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has yet to make its way to the comic fans. However, given the film is scheduled for a release on July 25, the wait should not be long. In the meantime, fans were treated with some fresh artwork for the reboot’s merchandise in Brazil’s Disney Dreams Store. The merch features the familiar profiles of Marvel’s first family, but it accompanies a tagline in the new pieces, “Heroes. Scientists. Explorers. Protectors.”

Matt Shakman previously teased his approach to The Fantastic Four: First Steps to be unlike anything fans have seen in Marvel’s narrative, far from the likes of X-Men or the Avengers. With this new tagline, fans on social media believe the Marvel Cinematic Universe is truly gearing up for comic relief and justice with the forthcoming project because what is a better way to describe the Fantastic Four other than this?
