Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh had serious medical emergency behind the wheel before crashing car with family inside

Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh ‘suffered a stroke’ ahead of his car accident in New Jersey less than two weeks ago, his rep said Wednesday.

The new reveal, made to TMZ, comes amid news the actor, 61, had open containers of White Claw Hard Seltzer in his 2022 Ford Explorer before careening into a pair of utility poles in Rumson, New Jersey earlier this month, according to officials.

Walsh admitted to police officers at the scene August 17 that he was on his way back from a bar where he had consumed alcohol, according to a report issued by the Rumson Borough Police Department and reviewed by Daily Mail.

In the report, responding officers said they arrived at ‘the intersection of East River Road and Blackpoint Road’ around 5:05 p.m. local time, and saw ‘a severely damaged black Ford Explorer which was pinned into a utility pole.’

Police said that ‘it was evident that the vehicle had struck another utility pole first, causing the first pole to split in half, hanging by primary wires.’

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Walsh for further comment on the story.

Police subsequently found a cooler bag packed with cans of hard seltzer, some opened, according to the report.

Police reported an eyewitness telling them that Walsh’s wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, could be heard yelling, ‘Get the bag out of the back seat,’ prior to them showing up on the scene.

Walsh provided officers with a blood sample, of which the results are pending; he has not been charged with DWI, the outlet reported.

Police said that Walsh said he had been returning from an outing at the beach in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, which is about seven miles to the north.

Walsh told responding officers that he had been drinking at the Mule Barn Tavern prior to the accident, according to the report.

Walsh’s appearance at the scene was described by police as ‘very red’ and ‘very confused.’

Walsh was driving a vehicle containing his spouse, two children and another passenger at the time of the accident, the report stated.

Eyewitnesses said that the vehicle had been swerving toward oncoming traffic prior to crashing into the utility poles, according to the police report.
