Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell had ties to many figures in the current Donald Trump administration and bragged of finding fossils with the current US health secretary
Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell boasted of once having been “dinosaur bone hunting” with US health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a document has revealed.
The latest batch of Epstein Files documents revealed the late billionaire and convicted sex trafficker Maxwell discussed “hunting” for fossils with Kennedy. In the August 5, 2012, exchange Epstein said: “Dinosaur and fossil hunting with jack homer on the ranch, found 90 million year old clams and fossils. right up your alley.”
“Love that – didn’t we go fossil hunting with him and Bobby Kennedy in N Dakota?” Maxwell replied. Epstein responded: “Yes.”

Maxwell previously confirmed the trip had happened while being interviewed by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, which was obtained by Politico. Maxwell said she no recollection of flying with Kennedy but that they had been acquainted.
When asked how, Maxwell replied: “Because we went on a trip together. … We went dinosaur bone hunting in the Dakotas.” There is no flight record for Kennedy flying with Epstein to either of the Dakotas.
It is unclear when exactly the dinosaur hunting trip happened exactly. Kennedy previously confirmed to have flown on Epstein’s jet twice.
In December 2023, he told Fox News’ Jesse Watters: “I was on Jeffrey Epstein’s jet two times. I went to Florida with my wife and two children to visit my mom over Easter. My wife [Mary] had some kind of relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell, and they offered us a ride to Palm Beach.”
Flight records show Kennedy and his second wife Mary Richardson Kennedy travelled to Palm Beach, in Florida, in 1994. The known flights happened before Epstein was convicted of child sex trafficking in 2008.
Kennedy continued to tell Watters: “I flew again with my family with, I think, four of my children and Mary, my wife, to Rapid City, South Dakota, to go fossil hunting for a weekend. Otherwise, I was never on his jet alone.”
Kennedy added he had been “very open about this from the beginning. He continued the flights happened “before anybody knew about Jeffrey Epstein’s nefarious issues.”
The latest batch of Epstein Files has proved embarrassing for several people associated with Donald Trump or the Trump administration. Billionaire Elon Musk was found to have asked when the “wildest” party on Epstein’s island was, despite it being years after the predator was convicted of child sex offences.
US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was also found to have had dealings with Epstein following his conviction, despite previously claiming he would “never be in that room with that disgusting person ever again.” Chummy emails found the pair remained in contact and arranged to have drinks together in 2011.
