Netflix is joining forces with NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) to stream real-time space action straight to its platform. Beginning this summer, global audiences can witness rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission coverage, and stunning live views from the International Space Station, all within the Netflix interface. This collaboration will not affect streaming on NASA+ or YouTube. Currently, the deal includes only live content, while archival footage and documentaries remain exclusive to NASA’s platforms.

Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+, said in a press release that the 1958 Space Act urges NASA to share its mission widely. With Netflix’s reach of over 700 million users, the agency aims to inspire a new generation through live coverage of space exploration. While NASA+ remains free and ad-free, offering archives and documentaries, Netflix prepares to launch live streams. Until then, viewers can explore a chilling space-set title that begins with wonder and spirals into pure cosmic horror.

With three gripping seasons tucked into Netflix’s library, Lost in Space has captivated viewers through its thrilling plot, emotional depth, and the constant danger lurking beyond every star.

Lost in Space delivers galactic thrills across three seasons

Lost in Space is a reimagined sci-fi adventure series based on the 1965 original and inspired by The Swiss Family Robinson and Space Family Robinson. Set in 2046, after a global disaster threatens humanity’s survival, the Robinson family is chosen for a deep-space colonization mission. When an alien robot sabotages their ship, they crash-land on a mysterious planet. There, they face hostile terrain, hidden threats, and emotional turmoil while fighting to reunite with their fellow colonists.
