Angela Raver! Deputy PM parties in Ibiza DJ booth with Denise van Outen the day after Starmer’s doom-laden warning to the nation about ‘painful’ times ahead

One moment you’re in Dagenham discussing cladding… the next you’re raving inside a DJ booth at a packed-out Ibiza club night.

Angela Rayner has been spotted busting her moves during a wild night out on the Spanish party island filmed by actress Denise van Outen at around 4am on Thursday.

In the footage, the Deputy Prime Minister – who has previously boasted of all-night rave sessions fuelled by vodka – is seen wearing a red dress as she dances along to a remix of Gotye’s hit song Somebody That I Used to Know.

It marked a remarkable turnaround from just hours before, with a photo shared on Ms Rayner’s X at 6.50pm on Wednesday showing her meeting officials in East London to discuss unsafe cladding. She’s also seen wearing red – but a different outfit.

The 44-year-old appears to have quickly jetted out to the Med for the rave at Hi Ibiza, which sells tickets for 100 euros (£84), drinks packages of five beverages for 95 euros (£80), and bottles of water for £11.

The video shows Ms Rayner joyfully hugging the DJ, FISHER – with the Labour politician clearly refusing to let her spirits be sapped by her boss Keir Starmer‘s doom-laden speech a day before warning of ‘painful’ times ahead.

Ms Rayner appears to have jetted to Ibiza following a meeting on Wednesday with mayors, regulators and fire chiefs about unsafe cladding.

The footage of her dancing in the DJ booth seems to suggest it was the early hours of Thursday morning, with a clock showing it was past 4am.

The 44-year-old has previously boasted of her 12-hour-plus ‘rave’ sessions while drinking vodka.

Speaking at an event at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year, Ms Rayner revealed how she had just returned from a holiday in Spain where she had partied from mid-afternoon to sunrise the next morning.

The Labour frontbencher, who has been dubbed ‘Grangela’ at Westminster after she welcomed a grandchild at the age of 37, said: ‘The girls I was raving with are half my age, and I was like “I’m a grandma”.

‘I was proud of that. 4pm I started, and I got home at six o’clock in the morning when the sun was shining and I was like, ‘Yes, I can do it’.’

Asked if she did it ‘with or without chemical support’, she said she just had vodka.

‘You’ve got to go with the music, the vibes. You’ve got to be in the moment and it takes you,’ Ms Rayner added.

Since Labour’s general election victory, the Deputy PM has spent the summer working on Labour’s overhaul of planning rules.

Ms Rayner is also spearheading a series of controversial workers’ rights reforms.

In an Instagram post, which included the footage of Ms Rayner raving, Van Outen wrote: ‘@pikesibiza @hiibizaofficial @followthefishtv (Including a surprise booth rave up with Angela Rayner) @tshamusic’
