Halle Berry reveals fake armpit hair in BTS snaps from her film Never Let Go: ‘Momma in the making’

Halle Berry took to Instagram on Saturday to share behind-the-scenes footage from the set of her new movie Never Let Go.

Engaging her audience of nearly nine million, the 58-year-old actress — who recently spilled details about the famous singer she turned down — revealed a number of cosmetic changes she made to transform into character.

Among them was wearing a patch of fake armpit hair, various wigs, and imitation tattoos.

‘Momma in the making,’ Berry wrote in the caption, adding, ‘One of the most complex characters I’ve had the pleasure of embodying. #NeverLetGo is in theaters everywhere!’

The post has so far racked up more than 100,000 likes.

The first clip of the carousel post shows Halle sitting in a makeup chair with makeup and effects artist Norma Patton-Lowin nearby.

‘So what’s happening here, Norma?’ Berry asked. ‘What did you do? What did you do there, Norma?’

Norma giggled with the screen siren about ‘the things I do to you’ as the actress also highlighted her eyebrows and temporary tattoos.

‘Thank you Halle for letting me take you to the limit for your character! I had a lot of fun working with you to create Momma,’ Patton-Lowin commented on the post.

Other outtakes featured the Catwoman star with short, wispy blonde hair with face-framing bangs.

In two images she put on a busty display in a low-cut denim halter top layered over a magenta bra.

The sleeveless look bared her ink-covered arms as she posed in the BTS snaps.

Halle even went topless in one racy selfie as she bared her toned abs and used her arm to cover her breasts.

In late August, before the movie’s release, Berry teased in a social media caption: ‘Would Momma ever lead you astray? – in theaters September 20.’

A synopsis for the film describes her character as a ‘protective mother’ of twin boys whose ‘only protection’ is ‘their house and their family’s protective bond,’ per People.

The summary continues, ‘Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go.

‘But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival.’

The movie, which stars Anthony B. Jenkins and Percy Daggs IV as the twin brothers, was directed by Alexandre Aja.

Earlier this year while attending CinemaCon, Berry discussed using a ‘little bit of Method acting’ to embody the role of Momma.

She shared that her character was ‘eating bugs and frogs — raw frogs — in the woods,’ and that she ‘had to really skin a squirrel,’ according to People.

‘These things wildly challenged me to create some reality within this world that felt so foreign,’ the longtime actress said.
