Heinz has announced that one of its much-loved baked beans products has been discontinued, sparking an outcry from gutted fans across the UK.
Baked beans have long been a cornerstone of British meals, commonly paired with toast, jacket potatoes or sausages and mashed potato.Â
For many, Heinz has been the go-to brand, but its organic range has held a special place for consumers in recent years – particularly Heinz Organic Baked Beanz, which offered a healthier option free from GMOs, pesticides and other chemicals.Â
However, the product has been notably absent from supermarket shelves this year, leading confused customers to flood social media with inquiries.Â
The company has since confirmed the decision to axe the organic product, citing evolving ‘culinary trends’ as the reason behind the removal.Â

In a message directed to Heinz on X, one fan wrote: ‘Why on earth can can I not buy Heinz organic baked beans any more? They were the best organic beans on the market!
‘I wish they could be brought back. Online I can buy them for £5.20 a tin!’
The Kraft Heinz Company replied: ‘Hi. This product has now been discounted.’
Another disappointed shopper wrote: ‘Out of curiosity, have the Organic Baked Beans been withdrawn? No one selling them anymore in Northern Ireland.Â
‘Got all excited when I found them still listed on the website and told me I could buy them online, but no – not there either.’
Responding in June, Heinz wrote: ‘Hi. The Heinz Organic Beans have recently been discontinued.’
Finally, a third devastated fan said: ‘Hey Heinz! Bring back your ORGANIC baked beans! They were the BEST.’
As reported by Worcester News, a spokesperson said: ‘At Heinz we’re focused on innovating to meet changing culinary trends and tastes and sometimes that means making small changes to our portfolio.

‘These are always considered with the consumer in mind.’Â Â
While Heinz Organic Baked Beans are no longer available on the company’s website or through major supermarkets, some stores may still have limited stock.Â
Shoppers are encouraged to check local retailers for remaining tins. As an alternative, many supermarkets offer their own organic baked beans as a substitute.
Heinz is not the only major brand to make cuts to its product line in 2024. Walkers Crisps, Nestlé, and even Aldi have also discontinued popular items over the past year.
In November, crisp lovers were left disappointed to learn that Salt and Vinegar Quavers had disappeared from shelves.Â
Responding ton inquisitive fan on X, Walkers wrote: ‘We’re sorry to break it to you Linda, but we’re not making this flavour anymore.’Â
