She won both an Oscar and a Bafta for her portrayal of Elizabeth II in the acclaimed 2006 film The Queen.
Now Helen Mirren appears to be drawing on the late Queen’s style for her latest role in The Thursday Murder Club, Netflix‘s forthcoming adaptation of Richard Osman‘s best-selling novel.
She wears a green headscarf and oversize spectacles ā similar to those she wore in The Queen 18 years ago ā for the role of Elizabeth Best, a former spy and one of the four central characters in the drama.
Dame Helen, 79, also wears a khaki-coloured gilet similar to one the Queen would wear while in the countryside, as well as walking with a stick.
She was seen filming scenes for the drama in Hertfordshire alongside co-star Celia Imrie, who stood out in a red knitted hat for her role as ex-nurse Joyce Meadowcroft.
