New swing state poll reveals huge shift in the race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump

Top election forecaster Nate Silver has revealed his new 2024 model showing Kamala Harris in a better position than Joe Biden in the battle against Donald Trump, but she faces a major problem.

Harris is projected to win the popular vote but has just over a 38 percent chance of winning the Electoral College while Trump has a 61 percent chance, his model shows.

A new poll of the swing states however has shown Harris has wiped out Trump’s lead and is now ahead by 11 points in Michigan.

They are latest sign of where the momentum shifts heading ahead of the general election came as the Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe was grilled in the Senate over the massive failures that led to the assassination attempt on Trump.

Vice President Kamala Harris wiped away Donald Trump’s swing state leads in battlegrounds, according to a new Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll.

The poll of seven battlegrounds has her leading by an average of 48 percent to 47 percent for Trump. Biden was trailing Trump by two points before he dropped out amid a Democratic pressure campaign.

The most pronounced spike for Harris was in Michigan, where she leads Trump 53 to 42. She also leads by 2 in Nevada, Arizona, and Wisconsin, while trailing by 4 in Pennsylvania and 2 in North Carolina. Harris and Trump are tied in battleground Georgia, a state Harris visited Tuesday.

Black voters, younger voters, and Hispanic voters all say they are more likely to vote now that Harris is replacing Biden, 81, at the top of the ticket. More than a third of voters in the battlegrounds said they were more likely to vote.

Head of Project 2025 steps down, and Trump responds

Paul Dans, head of Project 2025, has stepped down.

The project had put forward ideas for a possible second Trump administration and had been attacked by Democrats.

In a statement the Trump campaign said:

President Trump’s campaign has been very clear for over a year that Project 2025 had nothing to do with the campaign, did not speak for the campaign, and should not be associated with the campaign or the President in any way.

Reports of Project 2025’s demise would be greatly welcomed and should serve as notice to anyone or any group trying to misrepresent their influence with President Trump and his campaign – it will not end well for you.

Forecast shows Kamala Harris doing better than Biden but still in tough spot against Trump

Nate Silver relaunched his forecast model of the presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

It shows the vice president in a better position than President Biden was in before exiting the race, but Harris is still a modest underdog in the Electoral College, according to the modeling.

Harris has just over a 38 percent chance of winning the Electoral College while Trump has a 61 percent chance.

However, it shows Harris’ chances of winning the popular vote at over 53 percent, even if she does not win the election. Trump’s chance at the popular vote according to the current forecast is at 46.5 percent.

Lara Trump compares Kamala Harris to designer faux trash bag

Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of Donald Trump and Republican Party co-chair, compared Kamala Harris to a handbag designed to look like a trash bag.

It’s been incredible to see the way they have tried to prop up Kamala Harris and really sell her as some, sort of, this amazing political figure.

It reminds me of, there was this bag that a very famous designer designed, this is several years ago, and it literally was a trash bag, but they sold this thing for like $2,000 thinking that people would actually buy it. It’s a similar situation with Kamala Harris.

The handbag that looked like a trash bag was designed by luxury French fashion house Balenciaga. It was released in 2022 and cost $1,790.

J.D. Vance’s furious response to MSNBC contributor claimed he only wants ‘white children’

By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter

Sen. J.D. Vance is hitting back at liberals who claim his ‘childless cat lady’ comment was ‘racist.’

The Republican vice presidential nominee is the father of three biracial children with his wife Usha, who is the daughter of Indian immigrants.

MSNBC contributor Molly Jong-Fast said on Morning Joe:

What’s interesting is that this is this natalism that comes from an authoritarian playbook, right? That there needs to be more white children, right? That’s the idea – that this is about great replacement theory racism, right?

This is what this is. So don’t misunderstand it for him wanting more children. He wants a certain kind of racist thing.

Vance Spokesperson William Martin blamed MSNBC for allowing the ‘trash’ to air on their network and told DailyMail.com of Jong-Fast’s comments:

These disgusting attacks are a reminder that the leftwing media will stop at nothing to smear any Republican that they deem a threat to their radical agenda.

Senator Vance and his wife Usha have three beautiful, biracial children. It’s because of vile attacks like this that most Americans have lost faith in the establishment media to report the news fairly.’

MSNBC should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this trash to air on their network.

Anita Dunn leaving the White House in first top staff departure since Biden stepped back

Anita Dunn, who has served as a top advisor to President Biden during his presidency and his campaigns, is leaving her White House perch to advise a super PAC backing VP Kamala Harris.

Dunn was part of a core group of longtime aides advising Biden as he decided to end his presidential campaign, and was reportedly one of the few who got a head’s up a minute before the president blasted out his decision.

Now she’ll be guiding the Future Forward PAC, which says it plans to spend $300 million bolstering Harris, although campaign rules will limit coordination with the campaign itself.

Hers is the first major departure since Biden stepped back and endorsed Harris. The news came on a day the White House acknowledged it was ‘recalibrating’ what role Biden himself will play while his VP seeks the White House.

Biden gushed about Dunn in a statement confirming her exit. ‘I deeply value her counsel and friendship,’ he said. The Washington Post first reported her departure. Dunn, whose title is senior advisor and who is married to the president’s personal lawyer Bob Bauer, moved in and out of the White House during Biden’s term, eventually pulling back from her SKDK firm (she was one of the ‘Ks’ along with Bill Knapp) in 2022 to counsel Biden full time.

Trump agrees with radio host who calls Kamala Harris’ husband a ‘crappy’ ‘horrible’ Jew

Former President Donald Trump was being interviewed by conservative New York radio show host Sid Rosenberg when Rosenberg began tearing into Kamala Harris’ husband as a ‘crappy Jew.’

First, Trump called Jewish Americans who vote for Democrats ‘absolute fools.’

‘But if you are Jewish, regardless of Israel, if you’re Jewish, if you vote for a Democrat, you’re a fool, an absolute fool. They have let Jewish people down since Obama at a level that nobody could believe possible,’ Trump said.

He also mentioned voting for Biden even though the president is no longer his opponent.

Trump also declared ‘Chuck Schumer is officially now a Palestinian’ in an attack on the Senate Majority leader, who is also Jewish.

That’s when Rosenberg jumped in and went after Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish.

‘It’s funny, but it’s true. It said he is. He is, and they tell me that they saw this Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, Mr. President is Jewish. He’s Jewish like Bernie Sanders is Jewish. Are you kidding me? He’s a crappy Jew,’ Rosenberg said. ‘He’s a horrible Jew.’

‘Yeah,’ Trump can be heard agreeing.

Kari Lake and daughter Ruby encourage Arizonans to vote today

Kari Lake posted a new video encouraging Arizona voters to head to the polls and vote for her Tuesday for U.S. Senate. Lake and her daughter Ruby were headed to vote on primary day.

Lake is expected to win her Republican primary on Tuesday and then face off against Democratic House Rep. Ruben Gallego in November for Arizona’s Senate seat currently represented by Kyrsten Sinema.

Poll from swing state gives candidate a huge boost in Harris and Trump match-up

By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter in Pennsylvania

Kamala Harris is now pulling ahead of Donald Trump Pennsylvania, according to a new poll.

After a handful of polls in the key swing state had Harris and the former president in a dead heat, the vice president has now pulled ahead by four points.

The Susquehanna Polling released on Tuesday shows Harris with 47 percent support compared to Trump’s 43 percent.

Another three percent claim they will case their ballot for independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and seven percent still aren’t sure where they are leaning.

Pennsylvania joins Michigan and Wisconsin as a toss-up state, according to Cook Political Report.

Bombshell poll shows Squad member trailing her opponent in reelection race

Progressive Squad member Rep. Cori Bush is polling six points behind her Democratic challenger just a week out from her primary, a new survey reveals.

The Missouri Democrat is in a hottly-contested race for her reelection to the state’s 1st Congressional District.

On Monday, the Mellman Group on behalf of the Democratic Majority For Israel PAC released a poll showing St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell ahead of Bush 48 percent – 42 percent.

Bell has had a much tamer tone on the Israel-Hamas war while Bush has loudly advocated for pro-Gaza policies, a difference that is expected to impact the race.

If Bush loses her primary next week it would make her the second Squad member to lose reelection this year after Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., lost his primary to a more moderate Democrat earlier this summer.

White House cleans up Biden’s ‘dead on arrival’ in reference to Speaker Mike Johnson

President Joe Biden didn’t misspeak when he called Speaker Mike Johnson ‘dead on arrival,’ the White House said Tuesday.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre got asked about the comment during her briefing, where she insisted Biden ‘cleared what he meant’ in a tussle with Johnson over his plan to impose term limits on Supreme Court justices. Johnson called the plan ‘dead on arrival’ and Biden responded by saying, ‘He is. Dead on arrival.’

‘He actually addressed this last right, in his speech, in his remarks yesterday. He went right to it and talked about how his idea basically was dead on arrival. The speaker’s idea. He actually talked about it. He reiterated what the speaker said about the SCOTUS reforms announcement, and then he said that his idea was dead on arrival,’ said Jean-Pierre.

‘I don’t think he misspoke. He cleared what he meant specifically so people understood. I would not say he misspoke.’ Jean-Pierre repeated her comment that the White House was ‘recalibrating’ how things will work now that VP Kamala Harris is the presumed nominee. Biden ‘enjoys being out there and speaking directly to the American people,’ she said, after Biden made off-the-cuff comments after 1 am. Biden himself cleaned up the earlier comment in his speech in Texas Monday, bringing up Johnson’s opposition and saying, ‘Well I think his thinking is dead on arrival.’

Senate passes landmark social media reforms to protect children

The Senate passed a bipartisan bill Tuesday to protect children who use social media apps.

The Kids Online Safety Act breezed through the chamber with a 91 – 3 vote.

‘This legislation provides young people and parents with the tools, safeguards, and transparency they need to protect against online harms,’ Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn, the lead Republican on the bill, said in a statement after the measure’s passage.

The bill will require social media platforms to provide more robust privacy settings by default, give adults new controls over their kids’ accounts and require independent audits of social media providers.

It is one of the first and strongest bills yet passed to regulate social media.

Alleigh Marré, Executive Director of American Parents Coalition, told DailyMail.com that the passage is a ‘victory for parents.’

Social media apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat have caused irreparable harm to America’s kids, and it’s time for lawmakers to put some guardrails up for our kids online. More work remains to be done to protect our children from the dangers they face online, and American Parents Coalition will continue to work to empower parents to protect their kids.

Sen. J.D. Vance heads to Arizona for border visit

Sen. J.D. Vance is heading to Arizona’s southern border to highlight Vice President Kamala Harris’ failures as ‘border czar.’

Since Harris took over as the de facto Democratic nominee last week, a main attack line has been for Donald Trump and Vance to go after her role in Biden’s administration whre she was meant to mitigate the southern border crisis.

Vance will appear in Conchise County, Arizona – a southern border town – for remarks Thursday morning. It follows the vice presidential candidate’s remarks Wednesday evening in Glendale, Arizona.

A statement announcing the stop notes:

For 39 months straight since weak, failed, and dangerously liberal Kamala Harris became Joe Biden’s border czar, monthly encounters have routinely surpassed the highest month under President Trump’s administration. Since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office, nearly 10 MILLION illegal immigrants have crossed into our country.

To make matters worse, if elected, Kamala Harris promises to decriminalize illegal border crossings and take executive action to provide mass amnesties for millions of illegal immigrants.

President Donald J. Trump and Vice Presidential Nominee, Senator JD Vance are devastated to see the path of death and destruction American families are facing because of the radical-Left policies of the current administration.

The plan indicates that Harris is close to naming her running mate for the Democratic presidential ticket.

The short list of candidates under consideration include Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

Several of the contenders were out campaigning for her this weekend in battleground states in what many saw as tryouts for the vice presidential slot.

Trump plans to change Air Force One to new patriotic color

Donald Trump would ‘absolutely’ change Air Force One’s colors to his preferred dark blue and red scheme, according to a new report on Tuesday, even if it would have a dangerous side effect on the presidential plane.

A former White House official told Politico that ‘absolutely; 100 percent’ that Trump would change the plane’s light blue and white color design to the one that mimics his private plane Trump Force One.

Trump made much fanfare of his plan to change the colors of the iconic presidential plane to ones that he preferred.

The government, during his administration, contracted with Boeing for two new 747-8s to replace the existing presidential aircraft. Then-President Trump bragged about his negotiating skills with company, saying that he said saved taxpayers money.

And he was so proud of his plan he kept a model of the new Air Force One – painted dark blue, deep red, and pure white – on the coffee table in the Oval Office where it popped up in numerous photographs during his administration.

Acting Secret Service director says he’s ‘ashamed’ gunman was able to get on the Trump rally roof

I went to the roof of the AGR building where the assailant fired shots, and I laid in a prone position to evaluate his line of sight.

What I saw made me ashamed as a career law enforcement officer and a 25 year veteran with the Secret Service. I cannot defend why that roof was not better secured.

Breaking: FBI discovers social media account they believe belongs to Trump gunman Thomas Crooks

FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate told the Senate on Tuesday agents have found a social media account they believe belonged to Donald Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Crooks.

Abbate said there were over 700 comments posted from this account, including some that included ‘anti-Semitic and anti-immigration themes’ that ‘espoused political violence’.

The FBI is still working to verify the account.

Buttigieg reveals if Biden is ‘hurt’ over Kamala hype

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said he found out about President Joe Biden ending his reelection campaign through his post to social media last weekend.

Buttigieg said in a Monday night interview when asked about enthusiasm over Vice President Kamala Harris’ candidacy:

People are clearly really fired up and excited about it. I know I am.

The Daily Show host Jon Steward asked if the excitement has ‘hurt Biden’s feelings,’ acknowledging it was a ‘strange question.’

I don’t know. I think even now we might be underselling how world-historically rare it is to be literally the most powerful person in the world, to lay power aside – just because it’s the right thing to do.

Rand Paul: Secret Service was warned of rooftop where Crooks fired shots

Sen. Rand Paul revealed in a joint hearing on the Trump assassination attempt that local law enforcement had told his office they’d warned the Secret Service about the vulnerabilities of the rooftop where Thomas Matthew Crooks fired shots at the president.

‘Local law enforcement told my staff that they specifically flagged the vulnerability of the building to the Secret Service, and were told that it would be taken care of. Clearly, these vulnerabilities were not addressed.’

Republicans demand Olympics make drastic changes after ‘vulgar mockery’ of the Last Supper

Republicans are furious at the Olympics’s ‘anti-Christian bigotry’ displayed in the Paris competition’s opening ceremony, saying it was a ‘vulgar mockery’ of Jesus and his billions of followers.

The 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony sparked outrage by Christians after Leonardo Da Vinci’s world-renowned religious The Last Supper painting was warped into a drag queen display.

The famous biblical scene of Jesus Christ and his twelve apostles sharing a final meal before the crucifixion were replaced by transgender figures creating a ‘woke‘ parody of the sacred scene.

Now, over two dozen Republicans are demanding the Olympic’s charter be rewritten to ‘ensure that no faiths are the subject of mockery’ after the dreadful diversity display, according to a letter exclusively obtained by Daily Mail.

President Joe Biden told reporters on Monday night he’s already campaigning for Kamala Harris.

‘I did today,’ he told journalists on the South Lawn after he returned from a trip to Texas.

Biden was in Austin to talk about his plan to reform the Supreme Court, a plan Harris has endorsed.

The president was more cryptic when it came to a running mate for Harris. She is still considering who to have with her on the Democratic ticket.

When asked who Harris should pick as her vice president, Biden simply replied: ‘We’ll talk.’

Trump defends Vance’s ‘childless cat lady’ comments

Donald Trump is jumping to running mate J.D. Vance’s defense amid criticsm over reemerged ‘childless cat lady’ comments.

He told Fox News host Laura Ingraham in a Monday evening interview:

He loves family. It’s very important to him. He grew up in a very interesting family situation. And he feels family is good. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong in saying that.

Vance, the vice presidential nominee, said in a 2021 interview with then-Fox host Tucker Carlson that the U.S. is being run by Democratic ‘childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.’

Harris drops first paid TV ad while Trump campaign hits her over the airwaves

Vice President Kamala Harris released her first TV ad titled ‘Fearless’ on Tuesday as part of a $50 million paid ad campaign leading up to the Democratic National Convention.

The ad features images of Harris over the years and introduces her to the American people as a prosecutor before becoming vice president.

‘As a prosecutor, she put murderers and abusers behind bars. As California’s Attorney General, she went after the big banks and won $20 billion for homeowners, and as Vice President, she took on the big drug companies to cap the cost of insulin for seniors,’ the narrator says. ‘Because Kamala Harris has always known who she represents.’

The minute-long ad ends with her slamming Donald Trump by name and stating ‘we’re not going back.’

It’s the first ad in the blitz that will play across battleground states.

It comes as the Trump campaign dropped its first anti-Harris ad.

‘This is America’s border czar, and she’s failed us. Under Harris, over 10 million illegal a year,’ the narrator says as video of Harris dancing at an event plays. ‘A quarter of a million Americans dead from fentanyl.’

The Trump campaign reserved $12 million across six battleground states.

Harris to campaign in Atlanta with Megan Thee Stallion and Stacey Abrams

Kamala Harris will tap Stacey Abrams to help her win the state of Georgia, having the failed gubernatorial candidate join her at a rally in Atlanta on Tuesday.

Abrams, who is a fervent defender of the vice president, will be at Harris’ side alongside the state’s Democratic Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

‘ATL HOTTIES SEE YOU TOMORROW,’ the singer wrote on her instagram.

Tuesday marks Harris’ first appearance in the battleground state since she announced her presidential campaign and her 15th visit since becoming vice president.

Georgia is seen as a critical win for Harris in the 2024 race, part of a group of sunbelt states Democrats believe she can carry in addition to the Midwest states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan that make up the so-called ‘blue wall.’

‘We have multiple pathways to 270 electoral votes. The Vice President is strong in both the blue wall and in the Sun Belt and we are running hard in both,’ Harris’ battleground states director Dan Kanninen said on a call with reporters on Monday.

Trump reveals heartbreaking detail about Melania and his attempted assassination – and the proof that she DOES love him

Donald Trump described how Melania Trump heartbreakingly watched the attempt on his life on live television in a new interview.

Trump miraculously survived the assassination attempt by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks on July 13.

He was asked by Laura Ingraham how his wife Melania experienced the traumatic day from home.

‘She was watching,’ he said. ‘She was watching live. It was all over the place. It was on television.’

Trump added that his wife is unable to even speak to him about that horrible day, though he’s able to see it as a sign she truly cares for him.

Donald Trump or Kamala Harris? Veteran forecaster who has predicted nearly every presidential winner for 40 YEARS reveals which candidate is on course to win

A forecaster known as the ‘Nostradamus’ of presidential elections has revealed who is currently best placed to win the White House in November.

Professor Allan Lichtman of American University has accurately called the winner of nearly every presidential election since President Reagan’s reelection in 1984.

Lichtman updated his complicated prediction model to reflect President Joe Biden dropping out of the race and Vice President Kamala Harris become the presumptive Democratic nominee.

Based on his model which includes thirteen factors, or ‘keys’ as he calls them, Harris is currently on course for victory with less than 100 days to go before Election Day.

Veepstakes twist as leading contender to be Kamala Harris’ running mate spectacularly drops out ahead of shock move

Cooper confirmed in a statement Monday night that he would not be a candidate to be Harris’ vice president, saying he was ‘honored’ to be considered but ‘this just wasn’t the right time for North Carolina and for me to potentially be on a national ticket.’

The governor, 67, withdrew from contention well before Harris’ vetting process began and never submitted the requisite material, according to two of the people.

Harris remains focused on mostly men with executive experience from swing states like Cooper to round out the ticket.

A Bloomberg report Monday revealed that Pennsylvania‘s Josh Shapiro as well as Arizona Gov. Mark Kelly and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are the top three contenders Harris is considering adding to her ticket.

Inside the ‘White Dudes for Harris’ giant Zoom call with list of male celebrities including Jeff Bridges and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Actor Jeff Bridges addressed a ‘White Dudes for Harris’ fundraising event geared toward white men supporting the vice president,

He sang her praises on Monday night, before channeling his iconic role as ‘The Dude’ in 1998’s ‘The Big Lebowski,’ declaring, ‘As the Dude might say, `That’s just my opinion, man.'” (The original line was “That´s just, like, your opinion, man.”)

The call lasted more than three hours and organizers said it attracted 180,000-plus people who donated more than $4million.

It was the latest in a series of Zoom gatherings to raise money and rally support among tens of thousands of supporters for Harris, after President Joe Biden announced he was leaving the presidential race and endorsing her.

The ‘white dudes’ Zoom event also featured appearances from actors Mark Ruffalo, Mark Hamill and Bradley Whitford, who deadpanned about so many white male speakers being ‘a rainbow of beige.’

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was also on the giant call that was briefly shut down by X, sparking accusations of election interference.
