Ulrika Jonsson continues to ignore ex Sven-Goran Eriksson’s death as she fails to pay tribute and posts about her daily life on social media instead – after saying he’s ‘not a decent person’

Ulrika Jonsson is continuing not to acknowledge ex Sven-Goran Eriksson’s death on social media – but has been posting about her daily life.

The former England boss passed away on Monday morning aged 76 following his battle against pancreatic cancer.

Ulrika hit the headlines back in 2002 when news broke of her scandalous affair with fellow Swede Sven, who was in a long-term relationship with Nancy Dell’Olio at the time.

And while Nancy and several stars have paid tribute to the football manager, Ulrika has kept a noticeable silence on his passing.

On Monday she was posting about National Dog Day and on Tuesday morning posted a snap on her Story of her dog Hank and a snap of her breakfast.

It comes after on Monday she shared a post to Instagram about National Dog Day – just after his death was announced.

The star, who often posts snaps of her beloved four-legged friends, shared a close-up image of what appeared to be her dog’s behind, noting that ‘every day’ was National Dog Day.

Ulrika’s post comes months after she branded Sven ‘not a decent person’ after he revealed that he was dying of terminal cancer.

The TV presenter took to Instagram in January to share a brief post after the former England manager revealed the devastating news.

She shared a throwback photograph of herself on her Stories and insisted she didn’t ‘have anything to say about Sven’ and branded him ‘not a decent person’ in an accompanying caption.

The post – which has since been deleted – read: ‘Look at me being all young all that. So. PSA. I don’t have anything to say about Sven. #nada. Not a decent person.’

Sven had been with Italian lawyer Nancy, 63, for three years when they moved to England for his job as team manager.

But by the start of 2002, he had embarked on an affair with Ulrika.

She later wrote of their fling: ‘I carried on my pursuit for love, pausing briefly for a fumble under the covers with a nearly 60-year-old, Sven-Göran Eriksson.

‘Remember him, the former England football manager?

‘Yes, I am also trying to forget it because sex was about as exciting as assembling an IKEA bookcase, which is what makes my argument for a younger man inescapably convincing.’

Despite the affair with Ulrika , Sven’s partner stuck by him, but he then had another affair in 2004 with the then Football Association secretary Faria Alam.

The story of the second affair was major news because Faria had also had an affair with the then FA CEO, Mark Palios.

Speaking on a Amazon Prime documentary about his life, Sven spoke candidly about his affairs, but insisted that ‘sex is one of the good things in life for all of us’, he wasn’t married and didn’t break any hearts.

Talking about when his fling with Ulrika emerged, he said: ‘Sex is one of the good things in life for all of us. She was not married. I was not married.

‘Probably I was stupid but I think I didn’t do anything criminal. I didn’t really disturb anyone.’

He explained how Nancy had wanted to leave him, but changed her mind, saying: ‘She loved it. The tension. She was a lady from the upper classes in Rome. She liked to go out with important people.

‘In the beginning I didn’t react very much. But you don’t change people at a certain age. It was not peace in my house always.’

In August, Ulrika opened up about their fling, telling how Sven slipped a blank cheque from Britain’s most exclusive bank into her pocket during an affair ‘devoid of passion’.

The television presenter and model has kept the Coutts cheque as a memento of their short relationship, joking: ‘It might have been nice to fill it out at some point for all the hassle he brought me’.

Speaking on August 16  after a new documentary on his life emerged, Ulrika said of their 16-week dalliance: ‘This was no great passionate affair. It was devoid of passion. He had all this power and money, yet he was the weakest man I have ever met’.

‘I don’t think he had a romantic bone in his body’, she added, revealing that when not having sex they only really talked about football.

They had met at a party held by Tony Blair‘s spin doctor Alastair Campbell in 2002 when he former weather girl, then 34, asked for his autograph. Sven, then 54, replied in Swedish and asked for her phone number.

He then bombarded her with phone calls while on holiday with Nancy, telling Ulrika how ‘beautiful’ she was. When he came home they met up and had sex.

Next they flew to Sven’s home in Portugal for a secret holiday between England games, sitting at the front of the plane together ‘giggling all the way’.

After a night together in the luxurious villa west of Lisbon, they returned home.

‘The following morning we left for the airport together and, in the car, he put a blank cheque from Coutts in my pocket when I wasn’t looking. He presented me with a blank cheque which he put in my pocket when I wasn’t looking’, she said in The Sun today.

Their four-month affair ended when it broke in the press – but Ulrika claims that Sven left her ‘high and dry’.

Speaking about Nancy, Ulrika said: ‘She should be grateful for me raising her profile. When it hit the headlines Nancy was suddenly famous. And she used that to her advantage. She’d have never been on Strictly Come Dancing if it wasn’t for me.

‘He says he was afraid (of leaving her). I’ve never in my life fought over a man. I know Nancy was clinging to Sven, but she really needn’t have worried.

‘He never promised me he would leave her, because I never asked him to’.

Sven’s former lover Nancy hastily had to amend her tribute on Monday to her ex after accidentally referring him to her ‘husband’ in a heartfelt post

It comes as Nancy hastily amended her tribute to her ex after accidentally referring him to her ‘husband’ in a heartfelt post.

The lawyer, 63, and the Swede previously had a ten year relationship and were thought to have never married, but Nancy referred to him as her husband as she reflected on their years together in the heartfelt post.

Nancy took to her Instagram to share a slew of previously unseen photos of the pair of them together and in the caption she called Sven her ‘ex-husband’ and reflected on the ups and downs of the relationship, but insisted that ‘love never truly fades’.

However, she’s since backtracked on her words and changed the post to refer to Sven as her ‘ex-partner’ instead.
