Maja Salvador admitted that she is still unsure of what role she would like to portray once she makes her acting comeback. Despite this, she is open to starring as a mom in a future project since she knows what it means to be one.
Salvador told reporters on the sidelines of the “Emojination” season five media con that it would be nice to star as a mom. Before welcoming her daughter Maria, she had already starred as a mom in “The Killer Bride” and “The Legal Wife,” but she believes that she would be better at portraying a mom’s emotions than before.
“It’s scary to make a follow-up project to “Wildflower” and “The Killer Bride.” I did “Niña Niño,” which is more of a drama, dramedy, but viewers liked it. If I have the choice, it would be nice to take on the role of a mom. I took on mom roles before, but I haven’t experienced being a mommy. Now that I have experienced being a mommy, I will be better at letting out certain emotions,” she said.

Being a mom doesn’t necessarily mean that Salvador would be choosy with her future projects. However, she has to be mindful of certain considerations, especially that her daughter and husband, Rambo Nuñez, are waiting for her at home.
“I have a lot of restrictions now as a new mom. Am I willing to take on everyday tapings for airing or filming a chunk of scenes? There are a lot of things that need to be considered,” she said.
Even though Salvador welcomed her first child in May of last year, she is still reeling from the “unexplainable joy” of being next to her “mini me.”
“Waking up next to my little me or little me is such a wonderful feeling. You really can’t explain it. It’s exhausting, but this exhaustion feels good. It’s worth it,” she said.
“I’m really a hands-on mom. However, I stopped breastfeeding after my milk dried up due to dieting, working out, and dancing. I’m happy that it lasted for eight months. Rambo is very close to my daughter, too,” she added.
But when asked if she is open to her daughter entering showbiz, Salvador immediately said no. She nevertheless clarified that she will keep an open mind on what Maria wants to do in the future. “This is the reason why I don’t want to reveal her face. I want to protect her privacy),” she said.
Salvador and Nuñez tied the knot in a civil ceremony in February 2023, then at a destination wedding in Bali, Indonesia, five months later.
The actress is currently one of the mainstay hosts of the game show “Emojination” with Chamyto Aguedan and Chad Kinis. Its fifth season will premiere on May 17 of this year.
