As brat summer gets underway, it’s now impossible to avoid the lime green album artwork as Charli XCX dominates the pop culture landscape.
And as the Essex-born singer’s star is on the rise, she has made sure to cultivate the ultimate pop-star accessory – a loyal girl group.
Charli’s song 360 is seemingly dedicated to her glamorous and loyal friendship group, which is full of famous faces including Gabbriette Bechtel and Julia Fox, who are mentioned in the lyrics.
And for the music video Charli – whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison – managed to reel in a whole host of classic ‘It’ girls to the new generation of internet ‘It girls’ – from Chloë Sevigny to Emma Chamberlain.
But this is not the first time her contacts list and creative genius have come into play, as Charli, 31, has managed to bring together some of the biggest names in the industry for her song, Boys, in 2017.
It saw British Olympian Tom Daley take a shower, band Chromeo have a pillow fight, Joe Jonas eat a stack of pancakes, Charlie Puth wash a car while Stormzy wolfed down a bowl of cereal.
It’s a tactic reminiscent of Charli’s pop rival, Taylor Swift, with whom she’s battling for chart success this summer.

But as Charli, (who once compared Taylor Swift’s fans to ‘five-year-olds’) builds her own entourage to rival the Bad Blood singer, is she coming for Taylor’s crown?

Not only are Charli and Gabbriette linked musically, but their fiancés are also in the same band, the 1975.
Charli’s partner is George Daniel, the drummer for the indie group, and Gabbriette is set to marry Matty Healy, the main vocalist.

And Chloë certainly brought that grunge aesthetic to Charli’s music video, when she is seen hopping out of a black convertible Porsche that is smoking.
