Kai Rooney, 15, cosies up to model girlfriend during Nando’s date – and follows in designer-loving mum Coleen’s footsteps in a £204 T-shirt

Kai Rooney enjoyed a date at Nando’s over the weekend with his model girlfriend.

The aspiring footballer, 15, smiled broadly while posing next to Rosa Jackson, who is signed to Manchester’s Industry Model Management and boasts 7.8k Instagram followers, with whom she frequently shares snaps featuring Kai.

Rosa recently revealed on Instagram that she has just shot an advert for Iceland alongside Josie Gibson as well as posting her headshots.

Proving himself to be following in his mum Coleen’s famous footsteps with a love of designer clothes, Kai, who is also in his father Wayne’s line of work thanks to his signing to Manchester United youth team, ensured he was appropriately clad.

He was sporting the black Tennis Icon tee from designer Casablanca, which rings in at £204 alongside a diamond stud earring and baseball cap.

Kai’s main feed on Instagram is dedicated entirely to his football career however he often shares pictures of his social life on his Instagram stories.

His latest life update saw him posing with Rosa, who wore a trendy white top, in the wake of an earlier romance he shared on social media last year.

The teen is doing his best to follow in the footsteps of his father Wayne and is making waves in the Red Devils academy, having initially joined in 2020.

He clearly has talent – in his first full season he scored 56 goals for the youth set-up. Over the summer fans even jokingly called for him to join the first team at Old Trafford after seeing him take part in some drills, with a video showing his great finishing.

The youngster again displayed his talent after netting a superb goal for the Under 17 side against Real Sociedad.

He took a brilliant first touch on the right flank after being picked out by an equally glorious pass from halfway. The teenager then powerfully held off his defender before bursting past another to confront the goalkeeper.

Next came the finish, which was executed with great confidence. Kai sized up the stopper before confidently slotting into the bottom corner of the net.

Despite his on-screen successes, Coleen spoke out earlier this year about his struggles due to his famous football heritage. She revealed he is already feeling the heat and gets abused by fans because of his father Wayne.

‘A few years ago, I remember my son Kai took a penalty at St George’s Park, where we were for a tournament,’ Coleen told the Stick to Football podcast.

‘It went to penalties, Kai stepped up and just skied it. Afterwards I asked him how he could take a penalty like that, and he told me he was just fuming as the goalkeeper was saying ‘Your dad’s s***’, and he got dead angry.

‘It doesn’t happen to him very often, but it did then, and you can see in some games where they give you a little push. He’s strong-minded and usually shrugs it off.’

Foul chants are something his father has had plenty of experience of over his career as a player and manager.
