Kanye West made another announcement on Twitter, now known as X, following his series of vile posts about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s family on the social media platform
Kanye West has described his latest flurry of vile posts on social media as “therapeutic”.
The Jesus Walks star, however, said he today received “knocks on his door from familiar faces” who encouraged him to “come to a retreat” which he later claimed he found out was a hospital. Kanye shared the development himself in a video he posted on his open X page with the caption “UPDATE”.
In the clip, retweeted by more than 1,000 people in the first hour it was published, the rapper says: “This whole time I’ve been tweeting for the past five weeks of this, been expressing myself and now, you know, it’s been very therapeutic. I’ve never really realised the amount of times that I’ve been crossed.”
The latest of the shocking diatribe of messages on X – branded “Twitter Tourette’s” – saw the troubled dad of four said he believes he will be murdered in just a few days. He also shared a vile post regarding showbiz mega couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s family. He soon deleted the post – before admitting his regret at doing so.

These posts and others, Kanye says, led to “familiar faces” knocking on his door today to supposedly try to help the star. In the video, he continues: “People think, you know, when you’ve got money, you’re not allowed to have issues. It’s such a slap in the face. You can have all that money and not have a say so in when your kids go to school, or when you see them or what they’re watching, right?
“So I put up a photo that’s very disturbing of my daughter, my youngest daughter… I know when I put that up they were going to come for me for real, and that’s when I got knocked on my door and familiar faces, you know, ‘maybe you come to a retreat’, but [I said] ‘what is it look like aesthetically?’ It’s ‘come you know, just retreat’… I come to find out it’s a hospital. So that’s that’s what happened, like a couple hours ago.”
Kanye, who has won 24 Grammy Awards, was pictured with daughter North on Tuesday evening outside of a warehouse in Los Angeles. The Bound 2 performer was seen sleeping in a vehicle.
The musician’s video update came hours after he had typed, in all capital letters: “The only thing that I was mad about in the last few hours was taking that Jay Z and Beyonce tweet down. Dame Dash signed me btw, not Jay Z.”
Ye’s rant went on: “Concerning the Jay Z and Beyonce tweet, n****s said I woukd [sic] regret it. Noooo I regret taking it down My Twitter is a one way conversion.”
He had said people with Jay Z made him take it down, but insisted “someone from my music team called me and begged me to take it down”. He claimed they had warned him about facing a Twitter ban, before saying he was “soooo mad I took that down”.
