In an exclusive conversation with InsideSport, Punjab Kings player Prabhsimran Singh revealed that Tilak Varma isn’t miffed with Arshdeep Singh after the latter received criticism for his comments in a viral video. Prabhsimran stated that the two are great friends and advised people to think much about it. The wicketkeeper batter also said that Arshdeep didn’t let the criticism affect him and continued to perform for Punjab.

Test debuts for Cox & Baker
England have named their playing XI for the second New Zealand Test. The Three Lions have made four changes, three of which are forced. Jordan Cox and Jofra Archer come in for Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson, who are unavailable for selection. Matt Fisher comes in for injured Ollie Robinson, and Shoaib Bashir sits out for Sonny Baker.

PCB’s new central contracts
PCB has decided to overhaul the central contract system ahead of the 2026-27 cycle. From now on, Pakistan will have 5 categories, and contracts will be awarded depending on fitness, domestic participation, and format-specific performance. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi added that a ‘data-driven’ approach will take over going forward.

Cameron Green flies back to Australia
