Jose Mourinho looks set to be appointed by Real Madrid, but it appears that his plans for the summer transfer window already look to be in ruins after being spotted in an intriguing location
Jose Mourinho has been warned that he doesn’t have a chance of signing Michael Olise this summer despite an apparent scouting mission. The Portuguese coach is expected to be named as Real Madrid boss at the end of the season.
Despite his return to the Bernabeu having not yet been officially confirmed, it appears that he has already started work on potential transfers. Mourinho had been spotted in Berlin ahead of Bayern Munich’s German Cup clash with Stuttgart.
It was suggested that he was there to keep a close eye on French winger Michael Olise. But asked about those rumours, Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeness has said that the wideman will not be going anywhere, not least Real Madrid.
He said: “José Mourinho is in the stadium tonight to keep an eye on Michael Olise for Real Madrid? He can keep 5 eyes on him, he still won’t get him.”
Olise, 24, has enjoyed another sensational season for Bayern Munich this season. He has scored 22 goals and notched a further 30 assists in all competitions.

That form has seen him linked with a number of clubs including Real and Liverpool. But speaking last month, Bayern chief Max Eberl confirmed that his side are not even giving thought to an exit.
Asked if Olise was staying at the Allianz Arena beyond the summer, he replied: “Absolutely. Yes. We’re not having a second to think about anything.”
One man who would love Olise to leave Bayern is Steven Gerrard, who urged former club Liverpool to make a move earlier this season. He said: “All day long. But the problem is, why would he leave Bayern? A big club, challenging for the big honours, and they are probably the strongest Bayern Munich team we have seen for a while.
“He is about to take the World Cup by storm come the summer. He looks like a really happy kid, settled, to me, I don’t think he’s going anywhere
“But, yes, would I love him at Liverpool. And you know what, I wouldn’t mind [Luis] Diaz back as well. I’m missing him, I’m missing him.”
Olise remains under contract with Bayern Munich until 2029. The former Crystal Palace man will be aiming to take his performances onto the international stage this summer after being named in the France squad for the World Cup.
